Benefit Sporting Clay and Skeet Shoot This Friday in Aliceville

ALICEVILLE (Nov. 6, 2013) – The 10-annual Charlie Hughen Memorial Sporting Clays and Skeet Shoot will be Nov. 8 at Westervelt Lodge near Aliceville.

The field for the 50-target event is open to 32 teams of four. The entry fee is $75 per shooter and includes lunch. All proceeds from the event will benefit ill and injured children treated at Children’s of Alabama through the Log-A-Load for Kids program. Last year more than 10,000 kids from Tuscaloosa, Pickens, Greene and Hale counties were treated at Children’s. In addition to the shoot, Log-A-Load’s Warrior District is holding an auction for a 2010 Ford F-150 four-wheel drive truck donated by The Westervelt Company. Sealed bids will be accepted by Nov. 7. The bids will be opened during lunch Friday.

Participants may also purchase tickets to win a new Polaris Sportsman 400 ATV. Tickets are $10 and may be purchased from any Warrior District Log-A-Load member.
